August. What says summer more than a big, fresh glass of Lavender Lemonade? Stay with me now. It's a delicious, wonderful way to end a hot summer day on the deck relaxing in the early evening.
They made something very similar to this at the restaurant at the Young Living Farm and it gets RAVE reviews all the time. Of course I had to give it a try and the reviews are right, it's so good you guys!
Young Living Lavender Lemonade
- 7 lemons, peeled and juiced
- 2 limes, peeled and juiced
- 1-2 drops Lavender Vitality Oil (Contact Me to order)
- 14 cups of water
- 1 1/2 cups MonkSweet Plus (or your sweetener of choice)
- 1 lemon and 1 lime seeded and sliced (for garnish)
Mix all ingredients together and chill.
1-2 drops of Lavender oil is all you want to add – don't do more as it will overpower your lemonade flavor.
Add more water or MonkSweet Plus as needed to make it less tart or increase sweetness as desired.
If you want to add a little lavender coloring to make it even more festive, simply add a few drops of red and blue food coloring. Start with 10 drops of red, and 5 of blue. If you want it lighter, add more red, one drop at a time. To make it darker, add more blue one drop at a time.
Sweetener I use:
Enjoy! (Let me know if you give it a try)
